F13 is rated…

Word on the street is that the MPAA has rated the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH, and you can rest assured that this FRIDAY won’t be the first PG-13 FRIDAY flick to hit theaters. Nope, in the 29 year tradition of FRIDAY films, the new FRIDAY scored a nice and juicy R rating!

This was obvious… but now you’re dying to find out what, exactly, that R rating is for, so…. here are the reasons: strong bloody violence, some graphic sexual content, language and drug material.

Not simply ‘nudity,’ but ‘graphic sexual content.’ Hell yeah. I wouldn’t expect any less from Platinum Dunes, who has had a 100% R rating streak until this past weekend’s THE UNBORN (which, to be fair, wasn’t their usual remake flare).

Jason Voorhees will be gutting and knifing in extreme R rated violence, and guess what? You can almost gaurentee an even more extreme Jason when this f*cker hits DVD later this year. In the meantime, prepare yourselves for the FRIDAY THE 13TH, in all of its R rated glory, in theaters everywhere Friday, February 13th.
