Family! Yes, folks, that's right – the Fast & Furious gang is back with the ninth installment in the franchise, F9: The Fast Saga, finally hitting theaters after over a year of delays. Many are predicting this will be the movie to reignite the post-pandemic box office- finally! While Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham sat this one out in favor of Hobbs & Shaw, John Cena has joined the cast as Dom's long-lost brother, while Jordana Brewster returns after sitting Fate of the Furious out. Plus, there's Sung Kang's mysterious return as Han.
It cracks me up that this series basically started with Vin Diesel and co stealing DVD players from trucks, and now they're the world's greatest spies. I unabashedly love this franchise, as silly as it is. I gave F9 a strong 8/10, while Jimmy, cruel, cruel JimmyO, gave it a more reserved 5/10. Critics are split, with it scoring 62% on Rotten Tomatoes. But, as always, we turn it over to you guys for the last word. Is F9 as good as the other films? Or has the series finally run out of gas?
