Factory gets another

We’ve been keeping an eye on THE FACTORY for a while now, bringing you every bit of news we find on the project. First it was announced that Morgan O’Neill would be directing and writing along with Paul Leyden.

Then we all heard that John Cusack secured the starring role. Great news in my eyes seeing how I’m a big Cusack fan.

Well now I’m bringing you word from Moviehole.net that the second casting news has been dropped. Nathan Phillips (right) will be starring alongside Cusack in THE FACTORY. No telling if he’ll be playing Cusack’s partner, the serial killer, or something else. As soon as we find out we’ll pass the word along to you.

THE FACTORY is about an obsessed cop who, with his partner, is on the trail of a serial killer prowling the streets of Buffalo, N.Y. When his teenage daughter disappears, the cop drops any professional restraint and goes all out to get the killer.

It’s being produced by Joel Silver and is slated for release in 2009.
