Fantastic Fear goes 3D

Yesterday Fantastic Films International and House of Fear announced they’re combining forces to bust out a couple of new 3D horror films, including WOLFMAN, WATCHMEN OF HELLGATE (think comic book fantasy flick), and ELDORADO, a film that’s already near completion, and one that features a surprisingly kick-ass cast.

Directed by Richard Driscoll, ELDORADO is toted as a comedy, horror, musical, road movie starring Daryl Hannah (pictured), David Carradine, Michael Madsen, Steve Guttenberg, Brigitte Nielsen, Jeff Fahey, Patrick Bergin, Bill Moseley, and Sylvester McCoy. Holy hell!

But what’s this sucker really about? Check it: After wrongly being sent to a Neo Nazi fund raiser instead of the stripper, Blues Brothers tribute band ‘The Jews Brothers’, Stan and Ollie get offered a gig in the city Eldorado to make amends for a gig gone sour. At the same time, Jessica a beautiful but despondent wife, is on the run with a million dollars from her cheating husband’s night club. All roads lead to Eldorado, where these lives intersect, while a bigger power is controlling the action to make their visit to this town one they will never forget. It’s Eldorado’s 200th anniversary, the townsfolk are hungry to celebrate, which does prove unfortunate to the tourists who come to visit only to find that they are the dish of the day.

It sounds part insane, part awesome, and part WTF? But with a cast like that, how can you go wrong. Plus, “The Jews Brothers”? That’s just too funny. Fantastic Films and House of Fear will be trying to sell ELDORADO at this year’s American Film Market, so until then we just got to wait to find out when we’ll be able to see this crazy 3D horror/comedy. Hopefully it’ll be picked up with a quickness. Hell–I’d watch it!
