Fatale: Hilary Swank & Michael Ealy star in trailer for Deon Taylor thriller

While the world is still reeling from Warner Bros' industry-changing news that involves the studio bringing its entire 2021 theatrical slate on HBO Max for their respective first month of release, concurrent with a global cinema release, Lionsgate has debuted a trailer for the Deon Taylor thriller Fatale. Starring Hilary Swank and Michael Ealy, Fatale shows what happens when on mistake can cause a person's life to spiral out of control.

Here's the official synopsis for Fatale, per Lionsgate:

After a wild one-night stand, Derrick (Michael Ealy), a successful sports agent, watches his perfect life slowly disappear when he discovers that the sexy and mysterious woman he risked everything for, is a determined police detective (Hilary Swank) who entangles him in her latest investigation. As he tries desperately to put the pieces together, he falls deeper into her trap, risking his family, his career, and even his life. FataleĀ is a suspenseful and provocative psychological thriller and an unpredictable game of cat and mouse where one mistake can change your life.

Hot damn! Whoever cut this trailer together, cut them another check. For my money, Taylor's (Traffik, Black and Blue) new thriller looks saucy, suspenseful, and legitimately heart-stopping. While the film looks to present plenty of shady characters, I can't help but be taken by Hilary Swank's Detective Valerie Quinlan, who looks to be putting Ealy's Derrick through his paces as his perfect life unravels before his eyes.

Also starring Mike Colter, Danny Pino, Tyrin Turner, and Damaris Lewis, Fatale is set for a December 18 theatrical release.
