FEARnet to run thrilling British web series Girl Number 9

FEARnet has been one of the best suppliers in the business of web series, an interesting format that is gaining in popularity. Aside from making their own (like “Fear Clinic” and “30 Days of Night: Blood Trails”), they’re also acquiring interesting titles from around the globe. One such title is “Girl Number 9”, which ran in the UK but for one reason or another wasn’t available in other territories. Thankfully, that’s now about to change.

From the official announcement:

FEARnet, the world’s premier destination for horror, thriller and suspense, announced today the successful British web series Girl Number 9 will premiere next week on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 on FEARnet.com. FEARnet will air the first two episodes on Tuesday, June 14th, and then release one episode per day on Wednesday and Thursday, with the two concluding suspense-filled episodes airing Friday, June 17th. After the initial airing on FEARnet.com, Girl Number 9 will be available at a later date on the FEARnet On-Demand network and FEARnet’s emerging cable channel.

Here’s the synopsis for “Girl Number 9”:
Vincent Boylan (Joe Absolom) has just been arrested, suspected of being behind the brutal murder of seven girls, but the team only have a limited time to get a confession. If they can’t make him talk, he could slip through their fingers. Detective Matheson (Gareth David-Lloyd), who is leading the investigation, is sent in to try and get some answers. But things soon take a horrifying turn for the worse, as Matheson and his boss Lyndon (Tracy-Ann Oberman) find out that all is not as it seems.

The mystery deepens as everyone is drawn into Boylan’s sick mind games, and each twist-packed episode ends on a tantalising cliffhanger.
