Earlier today, Latino Review and the IMP Awards each snagged new poster art for a couple of upcoming zombie flicks.
First up is the poster for Lionsgate’s zombie-comedy FIDO, which shuffles into theatres this year (hopefully). Starring Carrie-Anne Moss, K’Sun Ray and Bill Connolly, FIDO tells the tale of Timmy Robinson and his friend Fido, who is a six-foot tall zombie who delivers the mail (seriously). When Fido eats the next-door neighbour, Timmy’s parents go ballistic, leaving Timmy to go to the ends of the earth to keep Fido a part of the family.
Next up is the first clear look at poster art for Steve (FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 & PART 3) Miner’s remake of George Romero’s DAY OF THE DEAD, which looks to be a rip off of the DVD art for LAND OF THE DEAD, in my opinion (the poster, not the film). The original film follows a group of scientists and military personnel taking refuge in an underground bunker due to a worldwide infestation of zombies. Tensions arise as the military personnel clash with the scientists, leaving the question as to who the real monsters are.
