Sadly, there hasn’t been a lot on David O’Russell’s biopic THE FIGHTER.

The movie is based on the early years of boxer Micky Ward (Mark Walhberg) and half brother Dickie Eklund (Christian Bale) who helped him train before he got big in the 80’s. Dickie actually did box himself, as well as knocking out Sugar Ray Leonard (even though he still lost). The pairing of Wahlberg and Bale instantly makes me want to watch it no matter what the subject.
