Filming wraps on Alien: Covenant, new look at Katherine Waterston

In this touch-and-go Hollywood world of ours, I'm not inclined to believe that a movie actually exists until I can see it with my own eyes. Especially after Neill Blomkamp's ALIEN flick fell through, I had my doubts about the PROMETHEUS sequel ALIEN: COVENANT

However, Ridley Scott don't mess around. He has now officially wrapped filming on COVENANT and given us another look at Katherine Waterston's seemingly Ripley-esque character. As per the trend with these images, Waterston is obscured slightly, but we can partially see her costume and a badass weapon rigged over her shoulder that I can't wait to see in action. Check it out below!

Written by Michael Green, Jack Paglen, and John Logan, ALIEN: COVENANT has the following synopsis:

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

The cast also includes Danny McBride, Noomi Rapace, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup, and Benjamin Rigby, with Fassbender back in the role of David.

The movie will blast off on August 4, 2017.
