Actually today’s casting annoucement isn’t even really any big news but it’s a pretty slow news day so we’re going to go ahead and run with it. The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog is reporting that P.J. Byrne is the latest name to join FINAL DESTINATION 5. Byrne (right) actually hasn’t really had any major rolls but he’s had bit parts in numerous TV shows and films so chances are you recognize him. Byrne and Todd join the previously announced David Koechner, Meghan Ory (below), Nicholas D’Agosto, Ellen Wroe, Arlen Escarpeta and Miles Fisher.
The Reporter also has a bit of info on who will be playing who in the film: Koechner is playing a clueless executive. D’Agosto is playing a guy who doesn’t make fast decision in his own life. Byrne plays an obnoxious kleptomaniac. Wroe plays the daughter of a company executive, a woman with gymnast training who is a little snobby and for whom everything is a contest. And of course Todd is returning as Mr. Bludworth.
This shite kicks off on September 13th with Steven Quale directing. It’s already got a release date of August 26, 2011 pegged.
