As most of you know, in an effort to milk every last drop of box office cash from the J.K. Rowling adapted HARRY POTTER franchise, the final adventure in the series, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, has been split in two. Though the “official” reason is that the book was simply too long to condense into one film. The first part had previously been given a November 19th, 2010 release and now Warner Bros. has decided to release the second part on July 15th, 2011. And as soon as they realize that after July 15th, 2011, they won’t have any more theatrical HARRY POTTER money, they’ll likely panic and decide to only release the first half on July 15th and release the second half around Christmas or something. Then another panic will ensue and they’ll split that half in two and things could drag on like this for at least another five years. The latest to hit theaters, HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE will do so on July 17th.
