Fincher’s Facebook cast

JoBloJoBlo

As had been previously rumored, Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield have signed on to star in THE SOCIAL NETWORK, the so-called “Facebook Movie” directed by David Fincher. The trio were rumored to be frontrunners for the film when word leaked out that they participated in a table read back in August. The Playlist reported, however, that Fincher wasn’t sold on a particular actor (*cough*Timberlakd*cough*) and that nothing was quite set in stone. But apparently the three were strong enough and wound up signing deals.

Eisenberg will play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg while Timberlake will play Napster creator Sean Parker who eventually became Facebook’s founding president. Garfield will star as Eduardo Saverin who had a falling out with the pair once the site became a big financial success. The role is certainly the biggest and most prestigious for Timberlake and the choose of Eisenberg is, not only a physical lock, but the best actor of the previously rumored choices (Michael Cera?). Filming on NETWORK is expected to begin in Boston next month.
