Entertainment Weekly (via Slashfilm) has scored the first couple of pictures from Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie, THE DARJEELING LIMITED.
Anderson totally flew under my radar (don’t ask me how) until I saw the trailer for his new flick (at the time), THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU. After seeing that – I loved the part when Bill Murray stops and goes ‘Swamp leeches! Everybody check for swamp leeches… Nobody else got hit? I’m the only one? What’s the deal?’ – I quickly got myself up to speed and decided that Anderson was one of my very favourite directors. I wasn’t crazy about AQUATIC, but it doesn’t really matter. THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS is to Anderson what THRILLER is to Michael Jackson. It gives him critical immunity. Plus, Natalie Portman’s in his new flick… You have to like it by default.
Slahfilm reports that THE DARJEELING LIMITED follows three brothers (played by Owen Wilson, Adrian Brody and Jason Schwartzman) as they trek through India to find an Albino tiger that may or may not be their reincarnated father.
