Any hospital-horror B-movie starring the likes of Daniel Baldwin has to have some intrinsic entertainment value…intentional or not. Ladies and gents, I introduce you to one such flick called THE REMOVED. Check the prognosis…
Written and directed by David McElroy, THE REMOVED shapes up like so:
Hoping to earn some extra money for college Lacie signs up for a research study testing drugs for the military. All seems well for Lacie and a group of other students until she stumbles upon a secret she was never meant to know. One by one the group begins to feel the effects of the “drug” with debilitating and horrific results. Trapped in a remote hospital that seems to have been abandoned, the group searches for a way out of the compound. Overseeing the experiment is a Senator (Daniel Baldwin) who will do whatever it takes to perfect the mysterious drug. Now the group must work together to find a way out as a sinister evil threatens their lives and their futures. Each moment counts in this fast-paced nail biting thriller.
With Philip Edward Van Lear, John Turk, Kristina Geddes (below), Mike McNamara, Kirk Anderson, Will Clinger and Aaron Crippen – THE REMOVED holds a tentative 2011 release.
