First Gemini Man reactions say it’s an action-packed technical marvel

After spending more than two decades in development hell passing through the hands of a variety of directors and actors, GEMINI MAN is finally ready to hit theaters. Starring Will Smith and directed by Ang Lee, GEMINI MAN centers on Henry Brogan (Smith), an aging government assassin who finds himself going up against a young operative who's able to predict his every move. It turns out that this new assassin is actually a younger clone of himself named Junior (Smith), and Henry must uncover the truth behind Junior's creation in order to save him from going down the same dark path.

Shot digitally at a high-frame-rate of 120 fps and featuring a younger CG Will Smith, GEMINI MAN finds Ang Lee once again pushing the HFR/3D limits, and the first reactions to the film paint it as something of a technical marvel which really needs to be seen on the big-screen.

Although you get the sense that the story may not be quite up to the task, it sure sounds like GEMINI MAN will give us some high-quality big-screen action in just a few weeks. As someone who wasn't necessarily feeling all that pumped about GEMINI MAN, I'm pleased to see so many people enjoying it. That said, keep in mind that these are just first reactions.
