First look at Trump-inspired comedy Space Force starring Steve Carell

Brace yourself, America! Steve Carell's long in development SPACE FORCE is finally unveiling a first look at the new sitcom. Reuniting with THE OFFICE showrunner Greg Daniels, SPACE FORCE was born from President Trump's creation of a new branch of the military focused on intergalactic planetary dominance.

SPACE FORCE, which will air on Netflix beginning May 29th, will likely spare nothing in skewering the idea of a space-based military and the first images, courtesy of Netflix's official Twitter account, show a lot of familiar faces, including Lisa Kudrow, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG's Ben Schwartz, SILICON VALLEY's Jimmy O. Yang, and the one and only John Malkovich.

According to the show's description, SPACE FORCE will revolve around Carell's four-star general Mark Naird, who has been tasked with operating out of a secret Colorado base, where he joins forces with a team of scientists to get "boots on the ground," per order of the Commander in Chief.

Joining the aforementioned members of the cast are Noah Emmerich, Fred Willard, Diana Silver, Tawny Newsome, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake.

Be sure to tune into SPACE FORCE on Netflix – if only to lend a little levity to our current world circumstances – beginning on May 29.
