Disney’s TANGLED is a curious project to me. It’s a hybrid between a Pixar-like adventure and a traditional hand-drawn Disney princess story, and doesn’t really seem like either, judging from this first trailer.
It tells the story of a rogue bandit who takes shelter from capture in a tall tower, where he’s attacked by a Barbie doll with sentient hair.
I don’t know, I get that I’m not the target demo for this, but even for a kids movie, this doesn’t seem anywhere near as charming as a typical Disney or Pixar animated feature. But who knows, I won’t judge a book by its cover or awkwardly changed title. I guess we’ll just wait and see.
