This is an unexpected surprise. Truth be told my hopes haven't been sky high for Universal's DRACULA UNTOLD, but the first trailer released is a rather compelling one. Luke Evans, as the man who would become the Prince of Darkness, certainly looks the part, and the film appears to have been exquisitely shot by cinematographer John Schwartzman.

Sure, the influence of "Game of Thrones" is apparent everywhere, but that's not necessarily a bad thing at this stage.

Opening on October 17th, DRACULA UNTOLD also stars Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Samantha Barks, Art Parkinson and "Tywin Lannister" himself, Charles Dance, as the bloodsucker who changes the fortunes of Vlad Tepes forever.
