Starring alongside Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes, Fonda plays Mephisto, and from the sounds of it- he’s doing a kick-ass job! Here’s what had to say about preparing for the role, and if it included reading up on his GHOST comic books:
I had read a few of them before, but I thought regardless of what the guy who wrote the comics had designed here, it was up to me to put it on the screen. As it was, they let me play totally against part. Let me tell you, nobody has played the Devil quite like I do. Oh, man, I loved it. It was really cool.
He’ll be among the stars who’ve played the Devil, including Al Pacino, Tim Curry, and most recently, Peter Stormare. Those are all tough shoes to fill, but let’s not forget- this is f*ckin’ EASY RIDER himself we’re talkin’ here! No worries on my part- on the other hand, Nic Cage with a full head of hair….
