Former 90210 star Jason Priestley the latest to join Stephen King’s “Bag of Bones”

Fresh off the news that Stephen King’s UNDER THE DOME is becoming a television series over at Showtime we’ve got some word on casting in another King project.

No reason to beat around the bush with this one, according to Entertainment Weekly the latest name to join A&E’s “Bag of Bones” mini-series is former “90210” star Jason Priestley! Bet you didn’t see that one coming!

Priestley (right) will star in the film as the main character’s literary agent. William Schallert has also joined the cast as the father-in-law of a young mother going through a custody battle.

BAG OF BONES is the story of grief and lost love’s enduring bonds, an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. Bestselling novelist Mike Noonan, played by Pierce Brosnan, is unable to stop grieving after the sudden death of his wife Jo. A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s lakeside retreat in western Maine where he becomes involved in a custody battle between the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather, the mysterious ghostly visitations, the ever-escalating nightmares and the realization that his late wife still has something to tell him.

Priestley and Schallert join the previously cast Pierce Brosnan, Melissa George (below), Anika Noni Rose and Caitlin Carmichael in the A&E mini-series, which is currently filming in Nova Scotia with plans to air later this year in a four-hour event.
