Now here’s a potentially cool movie concept. Intrepid Pictures has acquired a supernatural thriller called THE FOURTH HORSEMAN by Marshall Uzzle and Perry Fair. F. Paul Benz and Steve Tomlin (BLIND HORIZON) have been brought in to do the rewrites. Variety reports that “HORSEMAN” centers on a young priest’s battle to thwart the rise of the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, when three of the horsemen — War, Pestilence and Famine — await the birth of their fourth brother so they can fulfill their destiny and bring about the end of times. I love this kinda stuff so I’m totally on board. I even loved CONSTANTINE. Hopefully even though the people involved at this point are relatively low key, a concept this cool will be able to attract some real talent. I’m thinking Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell for the existing horsemen, with Owen Wilson as the fourth? Imagine the banter those three would have, just sitting around for little Owen!
