Ah what about those hairy buggers? Recently CBS tried their hand at a werewolf series called WOLF LAKE. Well right now is the first time I’ve ever heard of that… so needless to say it didn’t really catch on. But it seems DreamWorks and Fox aren’t ready to throw in the towel for the Wolves just yet! According to Variety, DreamWorks TV and Fox are gearing to team up for a show called HOWL. Hell you can sign me up already! I love me some werewolves!
So what’s this HOWL about? It’s an epic family saga about warring families of werewolves in a small Alaskan town. Not too original huh? Then again werewolves in snow might be pretty interesting. It worked wonders when vampires tackled wet weather, both snow and rain. So do you guys think werewolves might have a shot? HOWL writer Joshua Miller seems to think so: “Alaska is a place where people disappear and now you know why.” I knew it!
Alright so maybe werewolves don’t really live in Alaska… but maybe they should! Could there be a deeper meaning going on with HOWL? Here’s how Variety explains it: The script reflects the changes that are going on in the country, and “metamorphosis and constant change is the basis of werewolf mythology,” [Miller] added. “Howl” is about “the psychology of living with change.”
Man I just want to watch my werewolves tear sh*t up… I don’t want to learn about current events. HOWL is only in the development stages so there’s no word on a start date. Seems like there could be a lot going on with HOWL so be sure to keep it here for updates as we hear them!
