Stephen King/ Peter Straub’s epic novel THE TALISMAN has been in the works to be adapted to the big screen for what seems like ages. One minute it’s going to be a made for TV flick, the next it’s theatrical. It’s gone in so many directions while still sitting on the shelf, that I don’t even know what’s going on with this film anymore. Is it even still going to happen? They say it is, but I’ll hold my breath until I see it with my own eyes.
A scooper over at sent over some interesting information on the film, which apparently is being handled by DreamWorks, and as this is about as fat of a rumor that I’ve ever heard, it would still be if it actually panned out. Here’s what he said, straight from the horses mouth:
Yeah, that’s all I have for you. No word on which role he’s talking about (could be a number of them), nor if this is the real McCoy or anything, just that Fox was there and THE TALISMAN was mentioned. You know, it’s kind of a let down to hear shite like this, especially when you don’t know for sure that it’s true. Because now I’m getting my hopes up that THE TALISMAN is coming soon than later, and that TEEN WOLF himself is going to have a role in it. And if it doesn’t happen, I’m going to have to cry myself to sleep on my giant pillow.
So remember: this is a rumor and nothing official, but damnit- it could have some merit to it! And if it does, that’d be awesome.
