Fox release date shuffle: Updates on Predator, Gambit, X-films, and more!

With the massive and continued success of DEADPOOL in full swing, Fox has announced a number of slate changes and official additions to their movie calendar. Notable inclusions include Shane Black's PREDATOR, two untitled Fox/Marvel films, and a sizeable move for Tim Burton's MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN. Both Channing Tatum's GAMBIT and THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US with Idris Elba are now unset, meaning they're still in development and moving forward, but will find a release date home later on. We'll also be getting Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT a few months earlier, sliding into late summer of next year.

As for the mysterious Fox/Marvel films, the safe bet is that one of them would be the already announced DEADPOOL sequel (which is confirmed to feature fan-favorite character Cable), which I'd put my money on for the January 12th date. The October 2018 title could be anything, but it's nearly a year after GAMBIT's original date, so I wouldn't be surprised if GAMBIT slid in there. Of course, it could always be a follow up to X-MEN: APOCALYPSE as well. Time will tell. Either way, Fox seems to be full steam ahead on their comic properties.
