Which pleases me to report that Fox will be starring in the upcoming Fox Atomic supernatural thriller/comedy JENNIFER’S BODY, from writer Diablo Cody. Supernatural thriller/comedy? Can’t say that’s your average splicing of genres, but after hearing what it’s about, I think you can dig it.
The story, described as similar in tone to “Heathers” and “Beetlejuice,” follows a cheerleader with a perfect life who becomes the girl from hell when she gets possessed and begins killing boys in a small town. Her best friend must then find a way to stop her.
Fox as a homicidal cheerleader? Holy shitballs! I think they just described the ‘perfect’ movie! Sure, it’ll most likely be PG-13, but watching Fox in a skimpy outfit… slaughter folks left and right… for two hours… I’m so there!
Fox Atomic is hoping to get this beast started before the writers strike next summer, so let’s cross our fingers and hope this beast gets rolling soon! Stick around for more on JENNIFER’S BODY as we hear it!
