All of the recent talks about an unnecessary BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER remake may have been good for one reason: the 1992 original is coming in high definition! The cult classic will be released on Blu-ray on September 13 via 20th Century Fox. Special features have not yet been revealed, but you can peep the artwork below.
The cult classic horror/comedy is directed by Fran Rubel Kuzui and written by Joss Whedon. It stars Kristy Swanson (below), Donald Sutherland, Paul Reubens, Rutger Hauer, Luke Perry David Arquette, Hilary Swank, Stephen Root and Thomas Jane.
A fully accessorized L.A. high school cheerleader is informed by a mysterious stranger that she is destined to battle vampires. Soon she’s wreaking havoc on a local chapter of bloodsuckers. But when the top vampire vows revenge, it totally fouls up her social schedule.
