Well according to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting THE WALKING DEAD finally has a start date! THE WALKING DEAD pilot, which will be directed by none other than Frank Darabont, will start filming on May 15th in Atlanta. Damn… That’s still a ways away but you know the old saying: Good things come to those who wait. Ha… Don’t think that applies in Hollywood.
BD cites Wikipedia with the following description of THE WALKING DEAD, which follows Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Cynthiana, Kentucky, his family, and a number of other survivors who have banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies. As the series progresses, the characters become more developed, and their personalities shift under the stress of a zombie apocalypse. Fighting growing despair — and sometimes each other — the group searches for a secure location which they can finally call home.
