Cult director Frank Henenlotter is a hell of a guy. Not only does he continue to make his zany brand of horror movies (most recently BAD BIOLOGY), but the man takes the time to talk to his fans. In response to a comment on Facebook, Henenlotter revealed that Image Entertainment is going to release BASKET CASE on Blu-ray.
“We’re hoping to have a BASKET CASE Blu-ray ready by October through Image Entertainment, remastered from the original 16mm negative (which has never been used for any previous releases).”
The 1982 horror/comedy concerns: A young man carrying a big basket that contains his deformed Siamese-twin brother seeks vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will. The film is Henenlotter’s most well-known effort, having developed a cult following over the years. It spawned two sequels.
