Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody casts Queen band members

Oh you gonna take me home tonight

Oh down beside that red fire light

Oh you gonna let it all hang out

Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round

The production camp of the long-gestating Freddie Mercury biopic announced some big news today, as we find that Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee, and Joe Mazzello have joined the cast of BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY as the remaining bandmembers of the legendary rock band QUEEN. With MR. ROBOT star Rami Malek set to play the controversial frontman of one of history's most influential rock n roll outfits, Bryan Singer has finally assembled his four horseman of a very groovy apocalypse.

As you might recall, GK Film's Graham King has been trying to get ideas for this film up and running for quite some time. Originally, Sacha Baron Cohen was poised to step into the bedazzled, tight jeans of the band's lead singer, but had then departed the project over "creative artistic differences." In a nutshell, Cohen had found out that Mercury is expected to die halfway through the film, and that the latter portion of the project would focus on the band soldiering on without him. After Cohen left the project, rumors were circulating that Daniel Radcliffe would replace the comedic actor as Mercury. When word of that nonsense started to grow tiresome, Radcliffe came forward and stated for the record that there was "no truth" to the rumor.

Now, with all four bandmembers ready to rock, Singer will work from a script penned by Justin Haythe with Graham King and Jim Beach set to produce.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is scheduled to take the stage on December 25, 2018
