Morgan Freeman will be finally
showing us his dark side (hopefully) when he stars in the comic-flick WANTED.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Freeman will now star opposite James McAvoy
in the movie adaptation of Mark Millars and J.G. Jones mini-series WANTED.
The comic revolves around Wesley
Gibbons (McAvoy), a normal nine to fiver who discovers that his long lost father
is one of the worlds most deadly assassins. When his father dies, Gibbons is
taken into his fathers assasin guild and trained by Sloan (Freeman) to take over
his fathers position.
The script is being helmed by Derek
Haas, Michael Brandt and Chris Morgan who all worked on the FAST AND THE FURIOUS
franchise at one point and will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov.
I’m pretty pumped about this. Not
only is the story pretty rockin, but I’ve always seen Freeman as someone who
could fly off the handle. (Or at least act really good at flying off the
handle.) Click
