Earlier this month we blasted y’all with a pair of clips from Yann Gozlan’s French trap-and-torture outing CAGED (CAPTIFS), which actually impressed quite a bit. Well, now that it’s closer to screening in its native land, a fresh one-sheet for the flick has been tacked up by BAC Films. Get low for a look!
Hitting France October 6th, CAGED (CAPTIFS) is set:
Somewhere in Eastern Europe. Carole is a young nurse with a humanitarian aid group that has reached the end of its mission. But just then, the young woman and her two colleagues are kidnapped by strangers for mysterious reasons. Held captive, cared for and kept alive in an oppressive and sinister setting, the three prisoners soon discover with horror what their kidnappers truly have in store for them…
Sounds quite a bit like MARTYRS, no? Oh well, if CAPTIVES keeps the tradition of new wave French horror, a la INSIDE, FRONTIER(S), HAUTE TENSION…then we’re in for a real treat!
