Fresh trailer, poster released for Sebastian Stan cannibal thriller

Our own Chris Bumbray called the cannibal thriller Fresh one of the breakout hits of this year’s Sundance Film Festival in his 9/10 review of the film (which you can read HERE), and those of us who didn’t catch it as part of the Sundance line-up don’t have much longer to wait to see Fresh for ourselves. The film is being released through the Hulu streaming service in the United States on March 4th. The international release will follow later in the spring, when Fresh will be made available on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories. In anticipation of its Hulu debut, a trailer for the film has arrived online, and you can watch that in the embed above. Hulu has also unveiled a poster for Fresh, which you can see at the bottom of this article.

The feature directorial debut of Mimi Cave, the film was written by Lauryn Kahn and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier). The story follows

Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones), who meets the alluring Steve (Sebastian Stan) at a grocery store and – given her frustration with dating apps – takes a chance and gives him her number. After their first date, Noa is smitten and accepts Steve’s invitation to a romantic weekend getaway. Only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites.

Edgar-Jones and Stan are joined in the cast by Jojo T. Gibbs (Twenties), Charlotte Le Bon (The Hundred-Foot Journey), Andrea Bang (Luce), and Dayo Okeniyi (The Spectacular Now).

I was already sold on Fresh even before it played at Sundance, because there’s no way I’m going to miss out on a Sebastian Stan cannibal thriller. Bumbray’s 9/10 review has me even more hyped to check it out next month.
