Keep your Friday nights open in
October if you live in the Denton, Texas area, because horror guru/director
John Gray is holding
viewings of some of his favorites in the genre as a continuation of his Friday Night
Fright’s horror festival. When asked about the event Gray said:
“Really, how often can you go see FRIDAY THE 13 on a
Friday the 13th in October?” Gray says. “When was the last time your local
multiplex played EVIL DEAD II? TEXAS CHAINSAW 2? HALLOWEEN 4? When was the last
time a theater handed out tickets to the biggest concerts in town? T-shirts,
DVDs, and signed merchandise? It’s not often, and in doing it at The Movie
Tavern allows fans to eat great food and drink! This adds so many different
dimensions to the events.” The flicks have been chosen by both Gray and
fans, will be shown in 35mm format, and some of the screenings will have even
have special
guest appearances by people like George Wilbur, the man behind the Myers
mask in HALLOWEEN. To check out a full roster of movies that will be playing
