Friends have a dead body on their hands in thriller Catch 22

108 Media has announced that they will be releasing director Josh Folan's dark psychological thriller CATCH 22: BASED ON THE UNWRITTEN STORY BY SEANIE SUGRUE on January 17, 2017. With a basic idea that's reminiscent of VERY BAD THINGS, the film is said to explore a lot of dark subject matter, including "betrayal of loved ones, substance abuse and addiction, rape, and murder", as well as the importance of friendship and love.

Despite the title, playwright Seanie Sugrue does receive the screenwriter credit on the film, which has the following synopsis:

With Hurricane Sandy looming on the horizon, five hard-lived friends come to from a send-off celebration alongside an unexplained dead girl. What are friends for?

The characters are brought to life by a cast that includes Jayce Bartok, Brock Harris, Dónall Ó Héalai, Michael Rabe, Al Thompson, Phil Burke, and adult film actress Charmane Star… And judging by the trailer, which can be seen below (beyond that slightly NSFW screen cap), these characters aren't going to be the most likeable bunch to spend time with.

CATCH 22: BASED ON THE UNWRITTEN STORY BY SEANIE SUGRUE will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, and Microsoft Xbox in less than one month.
