It’s apparent that you can now expect plenty of Comic Con news to begin flooding in; the San Diego geek-o-rama is less than a month away, and the studios are releasing their schedules and panels. We received a couple of press releases from Relativity and Disney about what we can expect from their upcoming genre efforts, so read on!
Relativity will be bringing footage from:
SHARK NIGHT 3D, which will be accompanied by stars Sara Paxton, Katharine McPhee, Dustin Milligan, Chris Carmack, Joel David Moore,
Sinqua Walls, Alyssa Diaz, and director David Ellis. The film will be released theatrically on SEPTEMBER 2nd.
IMMORTALS, along with stars Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Mickey Rourke, Luke Evans, Freida Pinto and producers Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari.
THE RAVEN (which they’re still calling “Untitled Raven Project” for some reason); John Cusack, Luke Evans (again), Alice Eve and director James McTeigue will all be there.
Steven Soderbergh’s HAYWIRE starring MMA star Gina Carano, will also be a presence; both Soderbergh and Carano will attend.
Disney and Dreamworks, meanwhile, will be showing off FRIGHT NIGHT 3D. A panel presentation will be held in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center. On the dais will be talent from the film, including Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Imogen Poots, director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Marti Noxon. Activities also include a fan appreciation party as well as a screening in advance of the film’s opening in theaters on August 19th.
