Full Moon releases trailer for Puppet Master spin-off Blade: The Iron Cross

When Full Moon founder Charles Band agreed to let producer Dallas Sonnier of Fangoria make his own PUPPET MASTER films, the deal included the stipulation that the Sonnier-produced movies would be entirely separate from the other PUPPET MASTER movies so Full Moon could continue making sequels and prequels to the original films. And that's exactly how it's going – Full Moon's PUPPET MASTER: AXIS TERMINATION was released in 2017, Fangoria's PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH was released in 2018, and while we wait to hear when Fangoria is going to move forward on a LITTLEST REICH sequel, Full Moon is already preparing to release a new installment in their PUPPET MASTER franchise.

The new Full Moon entry picks up after the events of AXIS TERMINATION and brings Tania Fox back in the role of Elisa Ivanov, a character who has psychic visions in her dreams. But this isn't just another PUPPET MASTER movie, this one is a spin-off that focuses on the most popular puppet of the bunch: Blade.

Coming to the Full Moon Features streaming service and Full Moon's Amazon channel in March of 2020 is BLADE: THE IRON CROSS, and three months out from the film's world premiere Full Moon has released a teaser trailer online.

Directed by John Lechago from a screenplay by Roger Barron, BLADE: THE IRON CROSS has the following synopsis:

For decades the fans have been clamoring for it, and now Full Moon delivers with the first standalone feature debut of one of its most beloved (and most frightful) characters; the hook-handed maniac puppet, BLADE! Charles Band’s PUPPET MASTER series continues as an unspeakable evil from Blade’s past emerges in the form of a murderous Nazi scientist named Dr. Hauser. As Hauser’s heinous crimes are discovered, the psychic war journalist, Elisa Ivanov, awakens Blade, and together the bloody journey of revenge begins. It’s Herr Hauser’s reanimated undead army versus a possessed doll and a beautiful vengeance-seeking clairvoyant! Who will win, and how will it affect the Full Moon Universe? Find out in BLADE: THE IRON CROSS.

Fox is joined in the cast by Roy Abramsohn, Griffin Blazi, Jarrell Hall, and Bobby Ree.

The teaser trailer for this "kinky and twisted" film is embedded above.

The PUPPET MASTER franchise has had its ups and downs over the last thirty years, but I remain a dedicated fan, so BLADE: THE IRON CROSS is among the films I'm most looking forward to watching next year.
