Screentest just dropped a full synopsis for STRANGELAND 2 as well as a full character listing! Firstly it’s confirmed that the title for this STRANGELAND sequel will be STRANGELAND: DISCIPLE. According to Screentest no director is attached to the project but it’s rumored that Dee Snider will be stepping in to direct the sequel. What Screentest does reveal is that both Dee Snider and Robert Englund will be back to reprise their roles of ‘Captain Howdy’ and ‘Jackson Roth’ respectively. And lastly, here’s the detailed synopsis:
One year after Carleton Hendricks aka Captain Howdy’s (Dee Snider) sadistic rampage, much more than the physical scars the schizophrenic, sexual sadist gave his victims are left behind. Their lives, destoryed by emotional torment and the media frenzy surrounding the crimes, detective Mike Gage, his daughter Genevieve and vigilante Jackson Roth (Robert Englund) each have their crosses to bear. But when the badly burned and mentally broken Carlton Hendricks is taken from a state run mental hospital and off his medication by billionaire, media mogul, Moran Laforce, leader of a body modification/fetish haven called “The Torture Garden”, the door swings wide open for each of Captain Howdy’s victims to find closure…and retribution.
Well there you have it! Now I haven’t seen STRANGELAND but it seems like any fans of the original will be down for the sequel. A pretty simple, but intriguing synopsis no? Maybe I should track that shite down and check it out.
