The locked-up ladies return!

Netflix’s Orange is the New Black was a solid hit for the streaming service and now it’s back for a 13-episode second season. Today, we have our first look at the new season with a full trailer and “3 Words” featurette that has the cast describing the second season in – you guessed it – three words. The show, which is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir of the same name, was rated as one of our Top Ten of last year and it’s looking like it will make a strong case to be a part of that line-up with season 2. The show stars Taylor Schilling, Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Kate Mugrew, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Taryn Manning, Laverne Cox, Michael Harney, Samira Wiley, Yael Stone, and Pablo Schreiber (Pornstache!).

“This place is bullshit”:

“Three Words”:

I went into Orange is the New Black blindly when it debuted, just giving it a shot for the hell of it and was immediately sucked in. It’s funny, scary, tragic, and completely engrossing with outstanding performances by all involved. It’s just a solid slice of entertainment with more layers than you’d imagine in what could easily have been a silly sitcom or melodramatic tale. Instead, the show is a great example of how to balance humor, drama, and quirkiness.

Orange is the New Black debuts all 13 episodes of season 2 on Friday, June 6, 2014.
