Oh John Connor, so long it’s been! Oh well, at least you’re still toiling away in some kickass genre flicks. And one of the newest on the docket for Edward Furlong is Joe Eckardt’s psychological slasher flick SHOCK.
Eckardt, who directed the 2005 doc CHAMPION and the 2006 comedy NICE GUYS, looks to shift gears in this new tale of terror as seen:
Through the eyes of a killer, one woman’s worst nightmares are coming true. When Jana Rogan suffers a severe electrical shock, she experiences a series of bizarre and disturbing images which doctors attribute to post-traumatic stress. But when the nightmares continue and begin to reflect a series of real-life murders, Jana is forced to realize that the accident somehow opened a portal into the mind of a madman. When it becomes clear that the connection goes both ways, it’s a race against time to find his identity before he discovers hers.
Nice, the BEING JOHN MALKOVICH of slasher efforts, just beautiful!
SHOCK, written by Eric Anderson and Joe Rixman (THE PACT), is set up at Rock On! Films.
The flick is currently in the developmental/pre-production stage of the game, and looks to be released sometime in 2010.
More when we know it.
