Last week we got reports that a sequel was never going to get off the ground (see article HERE), but it looks like that was nothing but a load crap.
It seems that England’s idea for a sequel includes a pair of strong female leads – or maybe even two pairs- pit up against the two big dead dogs. And apparently he’s going to meet with New Line this week to discuss these and other ideas.
Should this surprise any of us? I mean really now, two of the biggest franchise maniacs to ever hit the planet, who’ve already proven themselves as money-making machines when sharing the same on-screen spotlight…. It’d be stupid not to keep the VERSUS series going. And if they keep up the good work, us fans will be pleased that they’re doing it more than just for the money, but for the art of the slasher film.
Sounds like the sequel is far from shooting, or being made anytime soon… but it will happen. Oh yes, it will happen….
