Ain’t nothing like a George A. Romero zombie movie to get the blood flowin’ right, and thanks his latest zombie opus DIARY OF THE DEAD, we have something to look forward to and get excited about! There’s something about the fact that Romero’s making zombie movies again that makes me believe that the world is going to be alright… I don’t know why, but it does.
The boys at
Dread Central had a chance to chat it up with Chris Bridges of Gaslight Studios, the head of the F/X on this zombie romp. Yes, it’s not Tom Savini, but as it’s the same dudes who did
LAND OF THE DEAD, I’d say we’re in good hands fer sure! So what do the zombie effects have instore for us this time around? Will it be ultra gory
DAWN OF THE DEAD style, or a bit more on the mellow side ala the original NOTLD? Well, as the diaries are set pre NOTLD, one could assume it’ll be light on the gore, but…. well, no one knows at this point- could be either way – or somewhere in the middle.
But what about the zombies, right??? What are they gonna look like? “The zombies are like a cross between Night and Day, with a touch of Dawn and hint of Land.” So basically, they’re gonna look like zombies. Good shite… I can’t frickin’ wait!
