Galaxy’s Edge video goes behind the scenes of new, epic Star Wars rides

Most fans of Star Wars can remember when they first set eyes on the incredible, vast world George Lucas created in the movies, and now the new theme park – "Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge" – will finally let you travel there. Have you ever fantasized about hopping into the Millennium Falcon and blasting the bad guys out of the sky, or becoming a member of the Resistance and taking on the Empire? If so, the theme park will get you as close to that action as possible (until Elon Musk invents lightsabers, that is), and you can get a sneak peek at the impressive new attractions with the new behind-the-scenes video now.

Exploring the two biggest attractions – “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” and “Rise of the Resistance” – the video shows off some promotional footage of the rides that let you pilot the Falcon and infiltrate the First Order. Scott Trowbridge, Creative Executive of Disney Imagineering, said “Resistance” is “the most epic attraction” they’ve ever built, which lets you become a recruit in the Resistance and even have a face-to-face with Kylo Ren. One question remains: Can I bring my churro on the adventure with me?

Set on the planet Batuu, the two main attractions will be located in across a vast new park that also includes restaurants, shops and other, smaller attractions, which will hopefully make park goers feel like they’re on a new planet filled with creatures and strange folk. I don’t know what the rules are for force-choking that guy who cuts in front of you at the space pizza line, but at Galaxy’s Edge, anything is possible!
