Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams to star with Asa Butterfield in Arrivals

For those of you wondering when Maisie Williams (Arya Stark on Game of Thrones) will be making the transition to feature films, her time has come! She'll be starring alongside Asa Butterfield (ENDER'S GAME, HUGO) in the upcoming drama ARRIVALS. Butterfield will play Calvin, an American hypochondriac who has dropped out of college and is working as a baggage handler at the Cape Town airport. He's forced to confront his fears when Skye (Williams), an unconventional British teenager with a terminal illness, enlists him to help her carry out her eccentric bucket list. Shooting will begin in South Africa this winter with Peter Hutchings (THE OUTSKIRTS) directing from a screenplay written by Fergal Rock.

Maisie Williams will also be acting opposite Jason Sudeikis in THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, which will hit sometime in 2016. The character of Arya Stark doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, but I'm curious to see if Ms. Williams can successfully move her career over to film once everything is said and done in the realm of Westeros. She's easily one of the fan favorites on Game of Thrones and I can't imagine she would possibly disappoint if given the right script to work with. LAST OF US, please!

Maisie Williams is 18 now. Just sayin'.
