Meanwhile, the remaining band members will be portrayed by actors Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor (drums), Gwilym Lee as Brian May (lead guitar) and Joe Mazzello as John Deacon aka ‘Deacy’ (bass). Additionally, Lucy Boynton was recently signed to the film for the role of Mercury's lifelong companion Mary Austin while Aaron Custer will play Mercury's lover, Jim Hutton. Lastly, Allen Leech plays Mercury's Judas Paul Prenter and Mike Myers is scheduled to appear in the film in an undisclosed role. Justin Haythe (RED SPARROW) and Graham King (THE DEPARTED) will pen the script with Bryan Singer also acting as the films producer.
