Garris is Desperate

Dread Central talked with Mick Garris the other day, and found that DESPERATION, the Stephen King made-for-TV mini-series is finally done with principal photography.



Starring HELLBOY himself Ron Perlman, as well as Steve Webber (THE SHINING), E.T. boy Henry Thomas and Tom Skerrit, and should be airing on ABC sometime in the next year I’m sure.

Here’s what Garris had to say:



We are finished shooting, other than a day on the Sony lot on this Thursday to do some stuff that we weren’t able to get when the set fire happened, and I’m well into my cut. Nicholas Pike (RIDING THE BULLET) will be doing the music, and all is going full steam ahead. [There’s] lots of CG work to be done too, but it seems to be proceeding apace.”



Good Shite! Can’t wait for this one, as Perlman is looking badass as ever, and (along with THE REGULATORS), DESPERATION is one of my favorite King books. Now all they need to do is throw down, and do a DARK TOWER movie… in full LOTR fashion and budget. Yeah, and monkey’s might fly outta my butt.
