Garris talked about all sorts of projects, like NIGHTMARES & DREAMSCAPES for TNT (he’s not involved), the epic adaptation of Stephen King’s THE TALISMAN (not happening anytime soon) and what’s going on with the adaptation of Clive Barker’s MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN (he’s not doing it).
Man, that section of the interview sure was depressing- is the guy working on anything here in the near future? He wrote an episode for MASTERS OF HORROR SEASON 2 to be directed by Ernest Dickerson (BONES), and he also talked about a little movie called DESPERATION:
“I’m eager for you to see Desperation. I don’t know when it’s going to air in Australia, but it airs May 18 here in the states. It’s for ABC Television. We’ve got Ron Perlman, Tom Skerrit, Charles Durning, Henry Thomas, Annabeth Gish, Steven Weber…it’s a pretty remarkable cast.”
Yeah, the cast is awesome, and the story rocks too! The King and Garris team has yet to let us down, and I don’t think they’re gonna start here. Plus, f*cking Ron Pearlman’s in it! How cool is that?
