Gary Oldman returns to horror with new film from the writer of The Shallows

If you are like me then Gary Oldman is one of the top actors of our time. No hyerbole. The man could play any role (yes, even the shark from JAWS) and sell the hell out of the role. It is with this in mind we bring you the news that Oldman has just joined onto a new horror movie.

Yes, Gary Oldman will be joing the cast of MARY.

The film is a supernatural thriller from screenwriter Anthony Jaswinski, who wrote the surprsingly awesome "Blake Lively tries to not get her ass and a seagull eaten by a shark" thriller THE SHALLOWS.

MAY synopsis:

A struggling family buys an old ship at auction with the high hopes of starting a charter business, only to discover the ship’s horrifying secrets on the isolated open waters.

The film will be helmed by director Michael Goi, who is perhaps best known for directing multiple episodes of AMERICAN HORROR STORY, but I will always know him as the guy that directed what I consider to be the MOST disturbing film ever made, MEGAN IS MISSING.

Seriously try to get through the film's last 30-minutes with your soul fully intact. Just don't say I didn't warn you… Anyhow, we'll let you know once we hear more about MARY, but make sure to let us know what you think thus far in the new comments section below, or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

MARY is set to take sail soon, with filmimng kicking off in Alabama this September.

I sh*t you not, that is Gary Oldman as Winston Chruchill
