One filmmaker on the international circuit always worth keeping an eye on is Gaspar Noé (IRREVERSIBLE, I STAND ALONE), and his new ethereal spookster ENTER THE VOID looks right up our blood-stained alley. Our man Ammon gave y’all a rundown way back in January, so it’s nice to not only get a reminder of Noés newest, but also a better look at the official U.S. one-sheet. Scroll down and witness the glorious neon slime!
Opening in theaters September 24th, ENTER THE VOID follows:
Oscar and his sister Linda, recent arrivals in Tokyo. Oscar’s a small time drug dealer, and Linda works as a nightclub stripper. One night, Oscar is caught up in a police bust and shot. As he lies dying, his spirit, faithful to the promise he made his sister that he would never abandon her refuses to abandon the world of the living. It wanders through the city, his visions growing evermore distorted, evermore nightmarish. Past, present and future merge in a hallucinatory maelstrom.
Nathaniel Brown, Paz de la Heurta (below), Cyril Roy, Olly Alexander, Masato Tanno, Ed Spear, Emily Alyn Lind and Jesse Kuhn all star in the flick.
