Looks like CABIN FEVER producer Lauren Moews is going to maintain her happy realtionship with genre force Lions Gate. The two are re-teaming on BORDERLAND from scripters Zev Berman and Eric Poppen.
In a very LAW AND ORDER kind of way, the project is described as a ripped-from-the-headlines tale of three Texas college seniors whose graduation trip to a Mexican border town turns into a nightmare when they run into an ancient human-sacrifice cult.
Don’t just hate that? I mean you cross the border for cheap, underage hookers and karma just turns around and kicks you in the ass. But really, how many of us can honestly say something similar to this has never happened to us?
Personal flashbacks to 1995 aside however, anytime you’ve got kids running from a sacrificial cult, I think it’s pretty much a guaranteed good time.
