George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road will burn up the pavement in 3D!

Well why the hell wouldn’t it?

Earlier today we discovered the exceptional F/X house WETA has joined the production of George Miller’s MAD MAX: FURY ROAD. Quite a coup for Miller and company. And it looks like they’ll all be joining hands as one happy family catering to the ever-present Hollywood fad…3-D. Anyone shocked?!?

Word comes from Miller himself, who seems thrilled to toil in the advancement of 3D technology. He may even build his own 3D cameras and camera rigs. Here’s a snippet of what Miller said to Inside Film:

“We are doing 3D on Fury Road – we are shooting with real 3D cameras. Seven years ago we were going to shoot in 3D but the technology in cinemas wasn’t geared for it then but I always loved 3D or stereo.”

Alright, let’s hear it. While I’m not a particularly big fan of 3D, a three-dimensional MAD MAX can’t be the worst thing, can it? What do ya think?

I don’t care if the film is shot on 16mm film…with Charlize in it, I’m seeing this bastard!
